Shotokan Karate is the original style is a style of karate, developed from  by Gichin Funakoshi (18681957) and his son Gigo (Yoshitaka) Funakoshi (19061945). Gichin was born in Okinawa  and is widely credited with popularizing karate

Shiai Jutsu is a competitive Combat Sport using as its main base the techniques of Judo and Karate form in the mid 1970's by Martin Clarke

Kokusai Karate Club was formed in 1962 by Nobby and Margret Clarke. Its first name was Young Karate Club but was changed in 1972
